Financial support for IEEE IES Students and Young Professionals to attend the IEEE IES SYP Congress 2026 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Student and Young Professional (IEEE IES SYP) Congress is a key event that brings together students, young professionals, academia, and industry leaders. The 2026 edition will take place from 13-15 August 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Funding will be available for student and YP members of IES to attend, helping to cover expenses such as airfare, accommodation, visa fees, meals and transportation costs.
This congress serves as a platform for professional development, technical sessions, networking opportunities, and collaboration between IEEE IES members worldwide.
Funding is available to support IES Student Members and Young Professionals in attending the congress. This funding will operate on a reimbursement basis and will cover:
Registration fees will be covered in advance by IEEE IES, provided that participants confirm attendance by paying the accommodation fees.
All expenses must comply with Expense Reimbursement Guidelines for IEEE Volunteers. Any expenses outside of these categories will not be covered.

All selected participants must prepare and present a poster during the congress. If multiple participants from the same IEEE Organizational Unit (OU) are attending the event, they are encouraged to collaborate on a single poster to represent their collective initiatives and achievements.
Students should focus their poster on their IEEE IES Student Branch Chapter (SBC).
If no IEEE IES SBC exists at their institution, the poster should highlight their IEEE Student Branch (SB).
If no IEEE IES SBC or IEEE SB exists at their institution, the poster should instead focus on activities within their IEEE IES Section Chapter or IEEE Section.
Young Professionals (YPs) should present a poster related to their IEEE IES Section Chapter.
If no IEEE IES Section Chapter exists, the poster should highlight relevant activities within their IEEE Section.
Participants may receive reimbursement up to
